Elcomsoft blog turns 12

Our blog is 12 years old. Twelve years back, we launched our blog as a tool to keep our customers updated about the new releases of our tools and give insight information about the technologies empowering our products under the hood. Today, we want to share the articles that gained the most attention in the last 365 days.

Twelve years is a great age to look back and reflect on what’s been achieved. Since March 2009, we posted more than 540 articles, and receive over 100,000 monthly visitors. Our blog reaches out to every continent and every country, including such places as Makati, Auckland, Lagos, or Anchorage. We are referred by schneier.com , computerworld.com, zdnet.com, heise.de, macrumors.com, myicloud.info, and many other popular sources. We also love sharing the stage with our friends and colleagues Per Thorsheim, Mattia Epifani and James Duffy and are always looking forward to their new guest posts.

We write a lot about mobile and cloud forensics. We have more than a hundred articles on iOS acquisition, the top one being Everything You Wanted to Know about Activation Lock and iCloud Lock, and more than seventy articles on iCloud acquisition with the most popular one being iCloud Photo Library: All Your Photos Are Belong to Us.

We also blogged about desktop forensics, password protection, disk and NAS encryption. We repurposed the latest and greatest NVIDIA RTX 3000-series boards to break passwords faster than ever before (not that you can get one of these cards easily), researched and broke VM encryption, investigated BitLocker encryption and TPM protection, and created a concise walkthrough on extracting passwords from popular Web browsers among many other exciting things.

We want to thank our loyal subscribers for being with us, reading and sharing those bits of information that is most interesting. Please continue to check our blog for new content or check out some of the most popular articles by sorting them by category or using the tags cloud.
